RE-RE-RE-REDISCOVERING ROOD|NOOT

WORDS - A feminism approach to Rood|Noot that took place on June 19, 2015.

What did it consist off?
Words was an interactive installation placed in one of the rooms of Rood|Noot with the aim of focusing on different feminist discourses, practices and issues. Texts have been written by prostitutes, intersex and queer people, political lesbians, muslim women, abused women, mothers, old women, fat women, black women, relationship anarchist women, etc.

Description
There are 14 chairs placed in different places of a room. On each chair, there is a text written by a woman and a piece of clothing. Each participant has to put on a piece of clothing, read a text out loud and listen to his/her own words while reading. When everyone has finished reading, it is possible to move to the next chair and repeat the process again. This way, the different discourses written by different women overlap and each participant reads all the texts. Various voices sounding and claming together for freedom.
